Day Brown was born on a farm in Dresseville Township MN, Aug 1,1939, as Dale Braun. But then when Julia Braun got married, they doctored the birth certificate to match her husband's name, Brown. If you calculate it, you see he was conceived Oct 31, 1938, which is the night Orson Well's "War of the Worlds" premeired on the radio. It does net seem that Julia knew the sperm donor well. Harvey Jones took her to Texas, but she left him to give birth on the farm, and he has not been seen since. His parents lived at Kewatin MN. The farm was owned by Jewel Braun, and the house was so crowded with kin who'd lost urban jobs that the baby was born in the upstairs hall at sunrise. Which was on a full moon, so he is a double Leo with moon in opposition in Aquarius. August 1st is also Lammas. He got a new bike for his 6th birthday, and polio for his 7th, so he didnt ride a bike again for 20 years. Gillette State Hospital treated him well, but also with steaming hot packs and range of motion work on his paralyzed left leg. A Shaman would have been as effective, and most likely more entertaining. The hospital cut his treatment short at 10 months so he could go home to watch his 5 year old sister die of cancer. Then, 22 months later, he was back at Gillette for the 1st of 4 operations, and while there, Mr. Brown contracted an STD, so Julia divorced him. But while there, he also became a savant at checkers, the best of 600 kids, including some up to age 18. And while there, they brought a TV set into the ward where he eagerly looked forward to the Long Ranger every Wed at 8PM. After the cast came off, he would've preferred to stay since his mom didnt have a TV. Again, they let him out a bit early so he could attend the funeral of Mr. Brown, who reportedly died in a syphlitic psychotic coma. Then, 2 years later, another operation and another hospital stay during which time Julia got engaged to Tom L. Loberg. Who did everything he could shore of physical abuse to make the kid miserable, mostly succeeding. Its a moot point whether the emotional abuse or physical pain due to the polio and its treatment or innate psychological factors produced a kind of Zen detachment. In any case women have never been satisfied for long with the degree of attachment altho they did appreciate his stable mood, patience, and unflapability. He endured 4 operations with Zen detachment, 2 of which did some good and never complained of the 2 that didnt. Then, in his 20's, peptic ulcers resulted in the abandonment of a career in residential care and the start of psychotherapy because everyone knew stress causes ulcers. He found another man to take his wife and kids; attachment ceased to be a problem. |

But by his mid 30's, the ulcers caused weight loss, and an operation
removed most of his stomach. Two years later they learned antibiotics
cures ulcers; not surgery, nor psychotherapy. Severely debilitated,
on disability, he retired to the Ozark woods to await his fate. He's
still there waiting, somewhat bemused to still be around. There have been legal prolems in addition to those with medicine and psychotherapy. Perhaps the doctored birth certificate was a clue. He was told manual labor was less stressful, so in the mid 60's worked at a yacht yard in Clearwater Beach FL. The toxic chemicals in bottom paint made his face break out, so like many old salts, he let his beard grow. Unbeknownst to him, at the time, this made him a hippie, which in Florida meant to the cops he was also a volunteer nigger. So, of course, he didnt object when the cops in March of 1968, wanted to search his house. When the search warrant arrived, after they had trashed his house in vain looking for drugs, he realized they had the wrong name and the wrong address. The last thing the Captain said as they left was:"Next time we'll bring something in case you are out." That was a clue to move to New Orleans after graduating college. But by now, they had his name and social security number that apparently was given to the cops there, for they searched his apartment. Again, no drugs were found. When he moved to the next house, they came and searched that place. No drugs. Then the FBI came a few months later saying they had a warrant to look for a fugative. In my dressers and storage boxes as well as the rest of the house. No drugs, nor anyone else in the house. The following year, they busted in on a Halloween party and arrested me for drugs guests dropped on the floor. The judge threw that case out. The next year and the year after, they also searched. No drugs. But as noted, he moved to the Ozark woods, and slowly built a house. Which burned down in 1996. So- he was living somewhere else when the Searcy County sheriff searched his barn at his old place. Despite it being characterized as "The Biggest Meth Lab in Northern Arkansas" by the Marshall Mountain Wave, no illegal drugs were found on 7/31/98. This was the 7th time. Since conventional medicine was so inappropriate, he researched herbs and ordered them online, which he also grew, foraged for, and in some cases processed with modern lab equipment. Which was all seized. None of it was ever returned. At some point you havta wonder when failures by the law to respect personal rights is due for correction. October 10, 2008 was the 8th search and is headed for a court test. Since he is nearly 70, does not have that much else to do, its about time.
